What do places that aren’t supposed to exist look like?

In this video, photographer Trevor Paglen talks about capturing “black sites” — places that intelligence agencies and the military claim do not exist.

Trevor fucking rocks. Back when I was at Eyebeam, he gave one of my favorite talks about his book on the patches worn by people in Pentagon “black ops” programs: I Could Tell You But Then You Would Have to be Destroyed by Me. Pick it up if you get a chance.

Also: Trevor has a Tumblr now.

Awesome artist on Tumblr.
